Bubbie's Baby Picasso

"Every child is an artist.

The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."

Pablo Picasso

This is Bubbie's baby...well not really. She's Bubbie's baby's baby. Her name is Camryn. She is the very same munchkin that gave me my blogging moniker.

The little budding artist makes Bubbie proud. I can't wait to introduce her to finger paints! (Her momma will love that)

As you can see her very favorite thing to do outdoors is to cover the sidewalks with her chalk art. I am told that she does not go out of the door without carrying her very own box of art supplies. She's a gal on a mission to beautify the sidewalks of the neighborhood.

No matter what she's wearing or where she's going, there's time to make her mark on the world. I promise to steer her toward paper and canvas before it occurs to her that other surfaces could be decorated as well.
I believe fostering creativity is natural and necessary in child development.
So, if every child is born an artist,
what happens to all of the fearless youthful enthusiasm to be creative that we were born with? Are we taught by society harsh lessons to comply and conform? What happens to all of those brave creative spirits? Boldness is lost when we become compelled to color between the lines.
