Post-itis Zen Bubbie

Posted by Picasa

Ahhhhhhh. Deep breath. Ahhhhhh.

These pictures were taken at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens.

I haven't posted in so long. I guess time does appear to fly when you're having fun. I feel good.

I am good.

My guess is that I identified this blog with my physical body and it's problems, or my problems dealing with it. If I had nothing to say along those lines, I didn't know what to say. SO...I am no longer identifying myself as a person with MS. That was easy, because that's what the recent physical evidence proved, and I was more than willing to let it go. Is it coincidence that I feel good? Did I buy into an illusion? Am I willing to not allow another to replace it?

The Bubbie has been pondering this and more...

MEANWHILE, back to life on earth:

I'm awaiting to hear the news tomorrow . My daughter is having her 2nd ultrasound that will reveal the gender of the baby. We'll see if I bought the right color yarn for the blanky I'm making.

I got a call this morning from my cousin. She and my Aunt liked my Poinsettia Christmas cards last year so much that they would like to put in an order for some to send themselves. This gave me a new project and direction. I can't just recycle last years holiday image. I have to get busy and paint more! It's mid August! I'd better get busy.

Chop wood, carry water? Chop water, carry wood?

I don't write a ton about my symptoms or vent/figure out my thoughts about MS in my journal. I think I passed a threshold about a year back --- when I started writing online--- where things leveled off with my health and my life with the disease. So now I calmly breathe and keep going. I imagine things will stir up again in the future, but for now I'm enjoying the plateau and I'm metaphorically sunning myself with a cocktail in hand (the cocktail is probably REAL)....Ahhhhhhh....

Glad you're well, Bubbie!! Get crackin' with that art. I might need me some X-mas cards soon :)

Stop that! The posting photograph thing when I think they are new paintings and visa versa!!! I can't tell when you've PAINTED something gorgeous or when you've taken a DIGITAL photo of it, dammit!!!!

(Hmmm...must say something about the quality of your art...)

Ommmmmmmmmmmm Zen Bubbie, please chop the wood in my backyard - we lost 1/2 a large tree in a storm. That is the way of nature. Ommmmmm

Oh, you must post more often. I do enjoy your blog, but since I'm a fairly new reader I didn't recognize you!

I hope things come together for me soon, because I'd like to get back to some artwork as well. It's been too long.

Hi, Bubbie. Hope your readers find this info about a clinical trial for an oral MS medication helpful:

http://www.pharmabiz.com/article/detnews.asp?articleid=51683&sectionid=
This is great news from sanofi-aventis about their investigational oral medicine for MS, teriflunomide. There is currently a worldwide clinical research study that is evaluating teriflunomide for relapsing forms of MS. Click here for more information: www.tower3.msstudies.com.
